Grade 302B is a standard specification for chromium and
chromium-nickel stainless steel sheet, plate, and strip used mainly
for pressure vessels and also for some general applications.
It has the same corrosion resistance as grade 304 and a slightly
higher strength due to the additional carbon content.
AISI 302B stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel
formulated for primary forming into wrought products.
Cited properties are appropriate for the annealed condition. 302B
is the AISI designation for this material. S30215 is the UNS
number.
It has a moderately high thermal conductivity and a moderately low
tensile strength among wrought austenitic stainless steels.
